Samra Maqdoor did Masters in Psychology from Kohat University and then specialization in Clinical Psychology from Peshawar University. She is also a certified hypnotherapist by holding a hypnotherapist certificate from PIMS.

She has a vast experience in clinical field. She served as a Clinical interne in CMH Kohat for half year, also served as a clinical interne at Centre for psychotherapy and psychiatry for almost 1 year and then worked as a clinical psychologist in Dr Khwaja Psychiatric hospital and rehab center for at least two years. Her experiences including working with neurotic patients, dealing all kinds of mental disorders including anxiety, depression, PTSD, Personality Disorders, sleep disorders etc.

She also worked with UNICEF’ organization CERD  in a project of Child protection in which she served a role of Psychosocial support counsellor, by providing all kind of psychotherapies to all those afghan refugees who were suffering from mental health issues. She lead the main role in identifying the vulnerable children over there and then counselling them by providing different modalities of psychotherapy.

She is currently running her own private clinic in Kohat with a name of Samra’s Clinic from last May 2023 and is also in collaboration with psychiatrist Dr. Zulfiqar Rehman by providing internship opportunities to students of Kohat.
